People often ask me whether I have read the Quran and the Bible. When I answer in the negative, they inquire about the reason for not reading them. My reply to them is that all my questions about the Divinity are answered in the “Bhagavad Gita As It Is”, written by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the exalted Acharya of the Hare Krishna Revolution. When someone is not satisfied with the product that he is using and craves for more, then he tries out other alternatives. Since I am completely satisfied with it and getting what I am looking for, I have never felt the need to refer any other book.
One can find complete details of the Supreme Personality of Godhead such as His name, His address, His father’s name, etc. in the “Bhagavad Gita As It Is”. A complete description of our relationship with God is given and a solution to the cause of our grief is also provided. Ultimately each one of us desires to be uninterruptedly joyful and ecstatic and all our activities are directed to attain that. However, we are baffled in our attempt and keep trying newer and newer ways to attain that everlasting happiness which always remains elusive. The Bhagavad Gita provides information on that particular activity, by whose execution one can become eternally blissful.
This does not mean that the Bible and the Quran are incomplete books because I cannot comment on this subject as I have not read them. I can only say that the “Bhagavad Gita As It Is” is a complete book and anybody who is searching for everlasting peace should give it a try.
