Madhuri Dixit, the yesteryear superstar of Bollywood, who is now in Mumbai to shoot a TV show, wants to go back to her sons and cook for them, reported a daily newspaper published from Mumbai, India. The ex-superstar quit acting after her marriage and is now settled with her family in USA.
Does this information lead to the conclusion that the sons of Madhuri are non-existent and that her desire to go back to her sons is a mere sentiment? Definitely not! No sane man would make such a ridiculous conclusion.
Nonetheless, there are some foolish people like the modern scientists, who make such conclusions when they hear of a devotee’s wish of going back to Krishna. The devotees of Krishna, out of immense love for Him, want to go back to Him and serve Him personally in His transcendental abode called Goloka Vrindavana.
When the scientists hear about such desires of the devotees, they dismiss it as a sentiment or blind faith because according to them, Krishna doesn’t exist – Krishna is a myth. But the fact is that Krishna exists and He is residing at His personal planet called Goloka, which is fully spiritual in nature.
The planet Earth on which we are staying is material in nature and therefore it is a place full of miseries. Since the devotees have factual knowledge of Krishna’s existence, they want to leave this miserable world and go back to Him. They are aware of the living entity’s relationship with Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, about which the ignorant scientists have no information.
All living entities, which includes not only human beings but also birds, beasts, insects, etc., are eternal parts of Krishna, or God and they can become happy only by uniting with Krishna. Had the scientists known this fact, they wouldn’t have invented the atom bomb, which killed millions of their innocent brethren. Since everyone is a part of Krishna, or God, all of us are brothers and only a demon would kill his kin. Therefore, the scientists are not only foolish but also demoniac.
The scientists deny the existence of God. They say that since they have had no personal experience of God, He does not exist. It is akin to the blab of a foolish fellow who may say that Madhuri Dixit’s sons do not exist nor does America because he has not seen either of them. If one has not seen America, it does not mean that the land of America does not exist. Similarly, if one has not seen Krishna or His planet, it does not mean that they do not exist. The scientists are spiritually blind and therefore they should take knowledge from the devotees of Krishna. The misfortune of the so-called modern men is that they have accepted the foolish scientists as their leaders and admire their fallacious arguments.
The scientists want to capture Krishna in their test tubes but He is too powerful to be captured like that. He can be captured only by the selfless love of His devotees. The Lord Himself says to Durvasa in the Srimad Bhagavatam (9.4.63) that “I am captured by My devotees.” If the scientists want the proof of God’s existence, then they should chant the Hare Krishna mantra because that is the most practical and easiest way to realise God’s existence.
As far as the difference between loving Krishna and loving one’s children is concerned, the love of Krishna is eternal whereas the love for ones children is ephemeral (temporary). The love for one’s children will be destroyed at the time of death but love for Krishna does not get destroyed even after death; it is carried forward to the next birth says the Bhagavad-gita (2.40). Therefore we should love Krishna and strive to go back to Him rather than yearning to go back to our so-called family-members.
